On a long trip, the areas dotting the motorway are valuable: they let you rest, refuel and eat. Here is what to know, bearing in mind that the exact offering varies from one location to another.

Rest and service areas

There are usually two types. Rest areas are basic: parking, sometimes restrooms, space to stretch. Service areas are fuller: fuel, food, a shop, restrooms.

What you'll find

  • Fuel: stations to fill up;
  • Food: cafés, snacks or restaurants depending on the area;
  • Restrooms: toilets, water points;
  • Parking: spaces for light vehicles and heavy goods vehicles;
  • Rest: space to take a break and fight fatigue.

Choosing your break

Plan stops roughly every two hours. Anticipate fuel: don't rely on the next station if your level is low. Use the break to check your Jawaz balance and your vehicle's condition.

What can vary

The presence, hours and services of areas vary by axis and period. Check practical information via ADM's official channels before a long trip.
