Editorial Policy
This page describes how we work: how we research, how we cite our sources, and how we flag what we are unsure about. Transparency is central to our approach as responsible fans.
Our principles
- Honesty: we clearly separate facts, estimates and opinions;
- Clarity: we favour simple, bilingual language;
- Humility: we remind readers that information can be out of date;
- Independence: no commercial interest drives our content.
How we research
We start from publicly available reference information (institutional reports, corporate documents, specialist press, historical background) and then restate it in our own words. We do not copy protected text and host no official documents.
Text-only sourcing
Our references are given as plain text (publisher, title, year), with no clickable link. Readers can look them up themselves. Our Sources page gathers these references by theme. Sensitive figures (rates, mileage, opening dates) are presented as indicative and to be confirmed officially.
Why no external links
By editorial and technical choice, this site contains no outbound links. This avoids dead links, protects reader privacy (no third-party tracking via outbound clicks), ensures the site stays stable over time, and forces us to write self-contained, complete explanations rather than sending you elsewhere. When we mention an official resource, we invite you to search for it yourself in your browser.
Flagging uncertainty
Every factual page carries a notice reminding readers that data changes. When we are unsure, we say so explicitly ('to be confirmed', 'illustrative', 'to our understanding'). Diagrams are labelled as illustrative.
